ARTIST  STATEMENT
I use either watercolour on paper or Gauche on Gesso Board.
The inspiration behind my work comes from the old masters particularly of the Heidelberg School. I really appreciate the way they tried always to capture light. I am always inspired by light and love the morning or afternoon light and shade the shadows may cast. I love to walk through the city at these times of day and seeing shadows on the old buildings gives me a very strong desire to capture this magic on paper or canvas.
